A strong immune system is central to staying free from colds and flu \u2013 and viral infections generally.<\/p>\n

The key players in what\u2019s called your innate immune system<\/em> are white blood cells \u2013 including Natural Killer cells, neutrophils <\/strong>and macrophages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

These white blood cells are like a permanently patrolling, rapid response guard that looks out for incoming enemies \u2013 in this case viral, bacterial and fungal threats.<\/p>\n

How Immunoshield\u2019s beta glucans prime<\/span> the immune system<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A natural compound, called 1-3, 1-6 beta glucans<\/em>, \u2018primes\u2019 your innate immune system<\/strong>. It works by increasing the number and activity level of the white blood cells.<\/p>\n

A heightened activity results in more effective innate immunity, which then fights actual threats.<\/p>\n

These threats include flu or cold viruses, some respiratory tract infections, TB (tuberculosis), pneumonia, and bacterial infections like chlamydia, E. coli, salmonella or C. difficile.<\/p>\n

WellmuneTM<\/sup> 1-3, 1-6 beta glucans<\/strong><\/h2>\n

By far the best researched form of 1-3,1-6 beta glucans is WellmuneTM<\/sup><\/strong> from Kerry Group, with over \u00a3120 million of clinical trial research behind it.<\/p>\n

Beta glucans can be derived from the cell walls of certain plants like shiitake mushrooms, or, in the case of WellmuneTM<\/sup>, from a form of baker\u2019s yeast. These are then purified so that they cannot cause any allergy reaction.<\/p>\n

When the Canadian Military tested some 100 potential immune boosters (even against radiation), WellmuneTM<\/sup> came out as number 1 for effectiveness.<\/p>\n

ImmunoShield, containing Wellmune beta glucans, is proven safe to use in the face of both an incipient problem \u2013 for example the onset of a sore throat \u2013 or on a continuous basis.<\/p>\n
