Why choose Nutri-Essentials as your daily health supplement?
NutriEssentials?
YES. NutriEssentials contains 30 separate nutrients, including ALL vitamins and minerals that have Recommended Daily Allowances, plus high-EPA and high-DHA Omega 3 and six plant power nutrients. These are the ideal amounts of the nutrients you need as an adult in the prime of your life.
Conventional supplements?
Very few contain all the vitamins, minerals at optimum levels AND Omega 3 and plant power nutrients you need in one convenient daily resealable pack.
Nutri Essentials?
YES. All the vitamins are at least 100% of the Recommended Daily Allowance (also known as the Reference Nutrient Intake).
Where research proves the benefits of higher levels, NutriEssentials includes many at optimum, safe higher amounts. But always well within the UK government's Upper Safe Limits.
⇑ 5 to 6 times RDA for B Vitamins B1, B2 and B6, Vitamin C and Vitamin E
⇑ 3 to 4 times RDA for B Vitamins B7 and B12, and Vitamin D
⇑ 1 to 2 times RDA for B Vitamins B3 and B5
⇑ 100% RDA for Vitamin A, B Vitamins B3 and B9, Vitamins K1 and K2
Conventional supplements?
Check labels carefully. Very few include optimum amounts.
NutriEssentials?
YES. NutriEssentials comes in a convenient soft re-sealable pouch. It does not require refrigeration, and you only have to open ONE pack per day to get out your 3 different capsules.
Conventional supplements?
Most come as single-formula tablets or capsules, each in their own bottle. Every bottle has to be opened and re-closed each day.
Nutri Essentials
YES. Of course, we use ingredient forms that are on the UK and EU approved lists. But we go further, choosing, for instance, natural forms of the nutrients (not synthetic) for Vitamins D and E. Plus the most bio-available forms of the other vitamins and minerals, as indicated by published independent research.
Conventional supplements?
Many supplements contain cheaper synthetic forms of the nutrient ingredients, which do not have the same bio-availability.
NutriEssentials?
YES. NutriEssentials uses a highly purified and concentrated triglyceride form of fish oil, sustainably sourced from deep clean ocean waters. Triglycerides are more digestible than the cheaper ethyl esters. We also include marine polyphenols in the plant power caplet, which further improve Omega 3 absorption.
Conventional supplements?
The majority of cheaper fish oil supplements use ethyl esters. The EPA and DHA concentrations in our fish oil are standardised at 33% and 22% respectively. It's worth checking labels for actual EPA and DHA content, rather than just looking at the overall amount of "fish oil".
NutriEssentials?
We use only natural colourings. And only sufficient to make it possible to distinguish the different caplets from each other. The colourings we use are yellow iron oxide, caramel, riboflavin and calcium carbonate.
Conventional supplements?
Natural colours are generally more expensive than artificial ones, which is why many other supplements use artificial colours.
NutriEssentials?
YES. Of course, the food ingredients are not all from the UK. Plants like turmeric and tea do not grow here. We source them from sustainable growers and refiners around the world. Where possible, we choose UK suppliers, and everything is packed into its final pouch in a Good Manufacturing Practice facility in southern England.
Conventional supplements?
Anybody's guess!
NutriEssentials?
YES. The caplets and capsules are impossible to make without some binding and bulking agents. We use the absolute minimum, from vegetarian sources (apart from the fish oil capsule, which is made of beef gelatin). All are on the UK government's approved list.
Conventional supplements?
Every caplet, tablet, capsule or pill, whether pharmaceutical or food-derived, needs additives in its manufacture. However, some are thought to be more neutral than others.
NutriEssentials?
YES if you choose the Vegan version. Instead of fish oil, the Omega 3 precursor alpha-linolenic acid is supplied by flaxseed oil.
In both versions, the MultiShield and the Plant Power Shield have no animal ingredients apart from Vitamin D3 from the lanolin in sheep's wool.
Conventional supplements?
They can be found, but tend to be a lot more expensive.
NutriEssentials?
YES. NutriEssentials is made to its own unique formulation by Uni-Vite Healthcare Ltd, a UK private company established in 1985. If you are not completely satisfied with NutriEssentials, we offer a full "no questions asked" money-back guarantee.
Conventional supplements?
A minority of companies offer a "no questions asked" money back guarantee.
NutriEssentials?
YES. NutriEssentials is despatched from our office/warehouse in Aylesbury. You can always contact us in person if you phone. Our UK base means that all our products are formulated in strict accordance with UK and EU food supplement regulations.
Conventional supplements?
Supplements that are sent out from other countries into the UK (from the USA, Europe, the Far East) do not necessarily accord with UK food supplement regulations.
NutriEssentials?
One month's supply of capsules is packed into a one-piece sealed re-sealable recyclable plastic pouch. The amount of plastic is much less than would be in a plastic bottle, and there's no separate lid.
We are always monitoring new developments in packaging technology in order to move even further towards greener (ideally non-plastic) eco packaging, but clearly the supplements must be kept in food-safe sealed containers until they are used. Paper and other compostable or biodegradable materials do not currently provide a sufficient barrier to keep moisture and air out and maintain freshness and potency of the supplements.
The outer postal packaging is made from recyclable and 75% recycled card.
Conventional supplements?
Most use plastic bottles, as they are the cheapest option. Some use non-recyclable plastic pouches – again, cheaper than recyclable ones.
NutriEssentials?
We use standardised ingredients. For instance, in order to ensure that there are 250mg of Curcuminoids delivered, we use an extract of Turmeric standardised to 95% Curcuminoids, and supply 263.16 mg of that extract (263.16 x 95% = 250.00).
Conventional supplements?
Delivering a declared amount of, say, 100 mg of a non-standardised Turmeric powder will not give anywhere near 100 mg of the active nutrient Curcuminoids. In fact the concentration of curcuminoids in turmeric is just 3.14%! So 3mg in 100mg. Just seeing a nutrient on the label does not mean you are getting an optimum amount of its active nutrient.
